The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking public input on its draft State Rail Plan. The DOT's Modal Transportation and Systems Planning Bureaus are updating the plan, which includes a public comment period from July 14 to August 28.

The State Rail Plan outlines Iowa's rail network, infrastructure development by railroads, and future transportation strategies. It complies with federal laws and regulations.

Comments can be submitted via an online form available on the Iowa DOT website.
