The eastbound I-80 on-ramp at Jordan Creek Parkway (exit 121) in West Des Moines will be closed overnight for construction work, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Creston construction office. The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on Monday, July 28, until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, weather permitting.

During this time, crews will perform concrete pavement work. Drivers traveling north on Jordan Creek Parkway will be directed by a digital message sign to continue north past the closed ramp until reaching University Avenue. From there, they should turn right and travel to I-35/I-80 (Exit 124).

The Iowa DOT advises motorists to drive cautiously in the work area, adhere to posted speed limits and signs, and note that traffic fines for moving violations are doubled in work zones. Drivers are also reminded to stay alert, maintain safe distances between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
