Iowa 3, a highway between Boy Scout Road and Sageville west of Dubuque, is set to close for construction starting Monday, September 22. The Iowa Department of Transportation's Manchester construction office announced that the project will involve tree clearing and culvert replacement along the route. The work is expected to last until mid-November, weather permitting.

The construction will begin with excavations for culverts at two specific locations. During this time, local access will be restricted past these points. Once these initial sites are passable, work will proceed to a third location. Despite the ongoing work, Iowa 3 is scheduled to remain open during the winter months.
