The Iowa Transportation Commission has allocated $3.3 million for rail infrastructure and development projects through the Railroad Revolving Loan and Grant (RRLG) Program. This funding aims to create and retain 201 jobs within three years after the projects are completed.

The commission approved funding for four projects. A new box manufacturing plant in Black Hawk County received a loan of $1,469,000. In Woodbury County, Floyd Valley Transload secured $830,000 for its Lewis Blvd project and $256,000 for its Rustin Street project. Additionally, the BJRY Le Mars Transload Yard Expansion in Plymouth County was awarded $792,000.
