Polk City home prices fall in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Polk City fell by $34,500 while total sales decreased by 21.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,000 - a 16.5% decrease over the $209,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 37 homes sold in Polk City in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Polk City for 2017 was $3,800. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,688. This marks an increase of 3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
