February 2021: Des Moines experienced a 13.3% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2021 in Des Moines rose by $16,730 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2021, there were 315 homes sold, with a median sale price of $142,750 - a 13.3% increase over the $126,020 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 270 homes sold in Des Moines in February 2020.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for February 2021.
