Des Moines home prices rose in August 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2021 in Des Moines rose by $17,490 while total sales increased by 0.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2021, there were 485 homes sold, with a median sale price of $170,990 - a 11.4% increase over the $153,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 482 homes sold in Des Moines in August 2020.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for August 2021.
