Indoor Pool Reopening Delayed

Pool

City of North Liberty issued the following announcement on October 19.

The opening of the indoor pool, originally planned for Oct. 25, 2021, will be delayed. The heat exchanger, key equipment for this project, has been delayed en route. Without this specific equipment, our pool remains unheated and water temperature is driven primarily by the ambient air temperature. This leaves the water too cold for regular use as it remains about 10 degrees cooler than normal. Meanwhile, the project team is exploring temporary stopgap solutions.

The length of the delay is currently unknown, and we will announce when we have an anticipated reopening date. The next session of swimming lessons are scheduled to begin on Nov. 15 and more information will follow are we approach that date. Black & Gold and Silver Memberships expiration dates will be extended equivalent to the length of closure.
