The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Iowa PAC has announced its endorsements for candidates running for the Iowa General Assembly. This announcement comes amid ongoing challenges faced by small businesses in Iowa, including economic uncertainty, regulatory burdens, high taxes, mandates, inflation, and workforce shortages.

Matt Everson, NFIB Iowa State Director, stated that "these candidates have proven that they’re willing to fight for our members to own, operate, and grow their small businesses." He added that the NFIB Iowa PAC appreciates their dedication to improving the state as a place to live and conduct business.

Endorsements from the NFIB IA PAC are decided by its board of Iowan small business owners. For incumbents seeking re-election, endorsements rely on their 2023-24 voting record with the NFIB IA Voting Record. A score of at least 70 percent is required for endorsement. Non-incumbent candidates are evaluated through interviews and a candidate questionnaire from NFIB.

These endorsements serve as an indicator to voters about which candidates will support small businesses. The endorsed candidates for both the Iowa Senate and House have been listed below:

In the Iowa Senate: Jeff Taylor (District 2), Tim Kraayenbrink (District 4), Jason Schultz (District 6), Mark Costello (District 8), Dan Dawson (District 10), Amy Sinclair (District 12), Brad Zaun (District 22), Jesse Green (District 24), Kara Warme (District 26), Dennis Guth (District 28), Mike Klimesh (District 32), Dan Zumbach (District 34), Kris Gulick (District 40), Charlie McClintock (District 42), Adrian Dickey (District 44), Dawn Driscoll (District 46), Mark Lofgren (District 48) and Jeff Reichman(District50).
