The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has declared its endorsement for Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks in her bid for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Iowa's 1st Congressional District. The endorsement comes as part of NFIB's ongoing advocacy for small businesses in the United States.

Matt Everson, NFIB Iowa State Director, stated, "Rep. Miller-Meeks understands the importance of the small business economy and has shown tremendous leadership fighting for issues like lower taxes and less regulation." He further emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election, noting the challenges posed by inflation and potential tax increases on small businesses. Everson concluded, "On behalf of the NFIB members in Iowa, we proudly stand with Rep. Miller-Meeks. We look forward to her re-election and her return to Washington D.C to defend Iowa’s small businesses and their employees."

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also expressed the organization's support, saying, "We are proud to endorse Rep. Miller-Meeks today." She highlighted Miller-Meeks' perfect voting record with NFIB and her efforts as an original cosponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which aims to preserve the 20% Small Business Deduction. Sussin praised the representative as a reliable advocate for pro-small business policies and expressed anticipation for continued collaboration.

The endorsement was granted through NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee, which operates on donations from NFIB members beyond their usual dues. The decision-making process of NFIB FedPAC involves a grassroots evaluation by its members.
