Josh McLeod, director of Federal Government Relations for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), was featured on the “Iowa Business Report” in a discussion with Jeff Stein. The topic centered on efforts to repeal federal beneficial ownership reporting requirements.

McLeod emphasized that if these requirements are not fully repealed or declared unconstitutional, 32 million small businesses across the nation could face this mandate once again. Non-compliance would result in criminal and civil penalties, including up to two years in federal prison and fines reaching $10,000.

The NFIB has consistently opposed this legislation and is actively working to block and repeal it through federal courts and Congress.
