Jeff Brabant, Vice President of Federal Government Regulations at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), recently discussed the federal beneficial ownership reporting requirements on WHO Radio. He highlighted efforts to repeal these mandates.

According to Brabant, if the mandate is not repealed or deemed unconstitutional, it could affect 32 million small businesses across the nation. Businesses failing to comply might face severe penalties, including up to two years in federal prison and fines up to $10,000.

The NFIB has consistently opposed this law and is actively working towards its permanent repeal through federal courts and Congress.
