The Senate Judiciary Committee has moved forward with several judicial and U.S. attorney nominations. On June 26, 2025, the committee approved Whitney D. Hermandorfer for the United States Circuit Judge position on the Sixth Circuit by a 12-10 vote.

Other nominees for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri—Zachary M. Bluestone, Maria A. Lanahan, and Cristian M. Stevens—were also advanced by identical votes of 12-10. Joshua M. Divine was nominated to serve as United States District Judge for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri and received a 12-10 vote in favor.

In addition to judicial appointments, Bart McKay Davis was advanced as nominee for United States Attorney for the District of Idaho, and David Metcalf was advanced as nominee for United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Both nominations were approved by voice vote.

A recording of the executive business meeting is available online, along with a recording of the judicial nominations hearing.

Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) delivered opening statements at both sessions.
