NFIB is organizing a roundtable discussion in Mason City to address concerns about rising property taxes in Iowa. The event aims to gather input from small business owners on potential reforms to the state’s property tax system, which NFIB has identified as its main legislative focus for 2026.

The discussion will be moderated by Matt Everson, NFIB Iowa State Director. Legislative participants include Senator Doug Campbell and Representatives Christian Hermanson and Henry Stone. They are expected to provide updates from the legislature and listen to feedback from attendees.

"This is your opportunity to make your voice heard and help drive meaningful reform that supports Iowa’s small business community," the organization stated in its announcement.

NFIB encourages interested parties to RSVP due to limited space at the event. Those with questions or who need assistance registering can contact Grassroots Manager Ben Abrahamson at 218-969-5121 or ben.abrahamson@nfib.org.

"Your story matters. Together, we can ensure small business owners have a seat at the table as Iowa tackles property tax reform," according to NFIB.
