The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) is organizing a hiring event to recruit temporary snowplow drivers for the winter season. The event will take place on Thursday, November 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Des Moines North Garage, located at 1530 NE 53rd Ave. in Des Moines.
This open house-style event provides an opportunity for media outlets to report on seasonal job openings and observe how the Iowa DOT is preparing for winter road safety. Attendees can capture footage of snowplow equipment and activities during the event, as well as gain insights into winter operations and preparations.
