All Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. However, many services remain accessible online at www.iowadot.gov. Those needing to visit in person are encouraged to schedule an appointment at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/other-appointments for quicker service. Walk-ins will be accommodated as time permits.
The Office of Motor Carrier Services anticipates a high volume of work around the holiday. Customers requiring oversize permits, particularly those over 156,000 pounds, should apply several days in advance.
