Patching work on the Iowa 10 roundabout in Orange City will lead to the closure of its north- and southbound exits on November 7, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) District 3 office. The maintenance will affect the southwest quadrant of the roundabout at Iowa 10 and Jay Avenue.
During this period, entry into the roundabout from all directions will remain possible, but only the east and west exits will be accessible. Traffic management through the north half of the roundabout will be facilitated by a pilot car and flaggers.
The Iowa DOT advises motorists to exercise caution, adhere to posted speed limits, and follow signage in the work area. It is important for drivers to remain alert, maintain safe distances between vehicles, and wear seat belts. The department also reminds that traffic fines for moving violations are doubled in work zones.
