Nighttime ramp and lane closures are scheduled to begin on October 27 at Exit 144 on Interstate 29 in Sioux City, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's District 3 office. The closures will occur during the night and may affect travel times for motorists in the area.

Starting Monday, October 27, weather permitting, crews will remove overhang jacks. From October 27 to October 29, there will be intermittent closures of the southbound I-29 to eastbound U.S. 20/northbound U.S. 75 ramp (Ramp F) and the westbound U.S. 20/southbound U.S. 75 to southbound I-29 ramps (Ramp G). Additionally, from October 29 to October 31, there will be intermittent lane closures on both north- and southbound I-29.

Portable digital message boards will inform drivers about work zones and closures. The Iowa DOT advises motorists to drive cautiously, adhere to posted speed limits and signs in work areas, and remain aware that traffic fines for moving violations are doubled in work zones. Drivers should stay alert, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
